These symptoms may include:

• Weakness and/or tremor within different body parts
• Difficulty with general motor skills
• Difficulty in standing and/or walking
• Visual disturbances including seeing things which are not there
• Hearing noises which are not there
• Extreme depression
• Behavioural changes
• Intense mood fluctuations
• Loss of mental function and reasoning
• Extreme headache
• Irritability
• Sickness and nausea
• Tiredness and drowsiness
• Coma

Brain Cancer Diagnosis

If you have a suspected brain tumour then your doctor will usually refer you to a specialist with great haste. You will undergo a series of tests including a scan of your head, either by CT or MRI. You will also have blood tests and possibly other diagnostic imaging tests too.

If the tests find a mass or tumour then you will need to undergo a brain biopsy in order to test a sample of the tissue and to determine exactly what you are suffering from and what stage it is at. The tissue will then be sent to a lab and you will get your results fairly rapidly as this is a condition where time is of the essence.
